Then save & reboot.ģ) In the configuration tab: Other features > enable OSD.ġ) In the configuration tab: Other features > enable SOFTSERIAL and TELEMETRY. Make sure to take the BTFL (Beta-OSD.X.X.X.BTFL.PAL/NTSC.hex) and not the Kiss version (Beta-OSD.X.X.X.KISS.PAL/NTSC.hex).Ģ) In the Ports tab: enable MSP for UART 1. Then I got aware of BETA-OSD which works really well. So I selected type "onboard ADC" and calibrated the voltage scale.ġ) I tried flashing MWOSD but was not getting anything else than the voltage.
not sure why and I couldn't calibrate and add an offset. VBat > With type "ESC sensor" I had inacurate values. Current sensor > enable and select type "ESC sensor". ESC/Motor Features > We need DSHOT to get the ESC Telemetry.
To go back to Kiss I had to uninstall the driver from the device manager.ġ) All 4 ESCs signal wires need to be connected to the RX3 pad located on the bottom of the Kiss FC.īecause all TRX pads are interconnected on the Kiss FC I simply added a jumper wire from TRX6 (above PWM6) to RX3.Ģ) Then in the Ports tab: for UART3 select Sensor input > ESC. Then I could enter in DFU mode and flash using the Betaflight GUI. I fixed it by running the ImpulseRC Driver Fixer. For me and possibly others.Īfter flashing with DfuSe my board was not reconized by the Betaflight GUI.

I thought I would document my experience for switching a full Kiss setup to Betaflight. No COM ports, no DFU mode, no Zadig, you don’t even need the ImpulseRC Driver Fixer connect via USB to your PC and we take care of the rest. I tried everything (a lot of P & D combinations, TPA, TPA influence, FC soft mount, motors soft mounts.). I was having some bounce backs with the Kiss firmware no matter how high I was raising the D term. I just switched my full Kiss setup to Betaflight 3.1.7 and it flies amazingly well. I'm going with the 6" frame under the assumption that will make a smooth ride.Thank you so much everyone for porting the Kiss FC to Betaflight.

I'm hoping by the time the BlHeli_32 Wraith32s ship they'll have the telemetry code enabled and I'll hook them up like Kiss24a ESCs to the UART for telemetry. However, I'm willing to try a Betaflight FC if the Kiss option is still pretty far down the road.Īnyway, if the Kiss option is still far off, here's the planned build:ĥ" props, probably the 5152s or the new EMAX props made for the 2306. Please stand by, we will have something in testing soon!I would certainly prefer a Kiss option since my Aliens all run Kiss and I'd like to keep everything consistent. We are working right now on a nice solution for this. How can I use the KISS Flight Controller? Before I do, I was wondering if there's been any follow-up to this item in the FAQ: I'm very close to putting an order for a Helix (today is payday, yay! ).
